Ronnie Spector RARE 1971- George Harrison - Leon Russell

This is from a period in Leon's career when George Harrison invited him on sessions for a few Apple Records artists. Among them were Jackie Lomax, Doris Troy, Badfinger and Ronnie Spector. In February 1971, Phil Spector produced sessions for his wife Ronnie, with Leon as pianist, George as guitarist, Jim Gordon as drummer, and Carl Radle and Klaus Voorman alternating as bass player, A single resulted with "Try Some, Buy Some" and "Tandoori Chicken," while this song remained in the can. The tracks for "You" were done and used by George on his 1975 album Extra Texture, as Ronnie's vocals in 1971 didn't seem to fit well.
