El Camino Day 14 Hontanas to Frómista, Spain | 1000-year-old Hermitage of San Nicolas Albergue

Episode 21 | Filmed October 19th, 2026 | Hontanas to Frómista, Spain | 34 km I’m originally from Kansas City, Missouri. Single 44-year-old dad of two kids. I decided to travel and make YouTube content. I quit my corporate job and sold my house, along with almost all my furniture and personal household items. I put a few things in storage and took a leap of faith, traveling the world to grow and discover more about myself and the world. In this video, we start in Hontanas and walk 34 km to Frómista, Spain. My Strava said 25 miles, but I don't think that was correct. The place where we stopped and heard music is the Hermitage of San Nicolas Albergue. It is a donation-based albergue when it's open. It is a private pilgrim-only albergue run by the Italian association Confraternita di San Jacopo di Compostella (Perugia) — exclusively for those on the Camino Francés holding a pilgrim credential. 1,000-year-old Romanesque hermitage.
