Tropical moisture flooded the Four Corners. Early Friday the San Juan River in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, peaked at just over 15 feet, the highest there since 1911, and Governor Jared Polis declared a disaster emergency in 11 counties and called up the National Guard. In Hurricane, Utah, a flood wave down Gould Wash damaged about 80 homes and 50 RVs, 30 people were rescued from their homes in Dennehotso on the Navajo Nation, and the San Juan River at Shiprock, New Mexico, rose above its 2005 flood. Figures as of Friday morning, October 23, 2026.
