Did the Osaka One Day Pass Save Money? Osaka Castle Entry, Bus Fare & Final Verdict | Part 2

Was the Osaka One Day Pass worth it? Osaka Castle tour Part 2 with entry fee, bus fare, how to ride buses in Osaka with an IC card, and my final verdict on the 1,700 yen pass. In this video, I continue my day with the Osaka One Day Pass (1,700 yen, bought on Klook). I show how to take a local bus in Osaka, how to pay with an IC card or JR Pass, and then visit Osaka Castle, one of the biggest tourist attractions in Osaka. In Part 1, I covered Tsutenkaku Tower, Shinsekai market, Shitennoji Temple and my hotel room tour. Quick travel tips: Local bus fare in Osaka starts at 210 yen (around 100 to 110 rupees). The minimum fare applies on any ride. Use Google Maps to check the bus number and timing. Buses can come a minute or two before or after the time shown. JR Pass is valid on JR buses only. Otherwise, use an IC card. Tap your IC card on the reader next to the driver when you get off, not when you board. Press the stop button on your seat before your stop. Osaka Castle entry costs 600 yen (around 300 to 350 rupees) and is free with the Osaka One Day Pass. The castle has 8 floors, and the 8th floor gives the best view of the whole castle area. It was built in the 16th century with huge stones. Castle entry timing is about 8 AM to 5 PM, and the surrounding grounds can be visited anytime. Keep enough time for the castle, as it has a lot of history to see. Prices and timings may change, so please check the official websites before you go. My honest verdict: Without the pass, the entries cost me more than 2,200 yen. With the pass, I paid 1,700 yen and covered all the places.
