Cycling from Dunkirk to Nieuwpoort

Part one of a cycling day trip from Dunkirk to Nieuwpoort and back. This section covering the journey out, through the suburbs of Dunkirk and on to the Belgian border along the Velomaritime, before heading up to De Panne and taking the delightful coastal route to Nieuwpoort. We finish at the 'Ganzepoot' (Goose's foot), a network of locks and spillways that connects six waterways to the North Sea, which also sits next to the British Memorial commemorating the 552 British soldiers who lost their lives there in World War 1.
