The Loft build ep003

In this episode, things get intense as we completely open up the roof of our Edwardian terrace—at great risk, I might add! With the majority of the floor now structural and strong enough for us to walk on comfortably, Steve the joiner and I shift our focus to the massive amount of preparation work required to instal padstones, connect/splice and lift the new steel ridge beams into position. Fortunately, the weather here in Liverpool that day was absolutely incredible (always a massive bonus when you're working completely exposed to the elements!). I mean... what could possibly go wrong?
