Assalamualaikum & welcome back to another vlog! ❤️
Today’s vlog is a special Cultural & Village Life Vlog from Chikar, Kashmir, where I take you along for a beautiful and unforgettable day filled with traditional farming, village life, nature, bulls, and a little bit of adventure. 🌾🐂🏔️
Our family has a piece of agricultural land in Baila, Chikar, where we planned to sow corn. I had to wake up very early in the morning and ride my bike to the fields. When I reached there, our brothers Alam Din and Saqib were already there with their bulls, ready for the traditional ploughing.
The plough was attached to the bulls and the work began. I also went to check another part of the land and made sure there were no trees or anything that could cause a problem while ploughing. Along the way, I explored the beautiful surroundings and captured some peaceful moments of village life. 🌿
After that, I visited a nearby natural spring, washed my face and hands, and enjoyed the fresh water. I also showed you Domail Pool, a special place where we learned how to swim during our childhood. 🏊♂️💧
But the most unexpected part of the vlog happened when I decided to take the bulls and try ploughing the field myself! I had ploughed with bulls before, but this time things didn’t go exactly as planned. 😅🐂
As soon as I took control of the bulls, one of them suddenly became difficult to control and moved toward another area. The plough got stuck near the roots of a tree, and one of the bulls even fell down. Saqib Bhai immediately told me to move back, and thankfully, the situation was brought under control.
Luckily, the plough wasn’t completely damaged, although a small part was broken. It was definitely a scary and unexpected moment, but thankfully no one was seriously hurt. ❤️
Later, because of the lockdown situation, I had to travel down to Hattian Bala to buy medicines for my mother. On the way, I showed you the Hattian Bypass, which provides a route of around 7 kilometers and makes the journey easier. I went through the bypass, bought the medicines, and then returned back to Chikar.
When I came back, the traditional ploughing work in our field had already been completed. 🌾🐂
This vlog is not just about farming — it is about our culture, our village traditions, our land, our memories, and the simple lifestyle of Kashmir.
From waking up early, riding a bike to the fields, watching traditional bull ploughing, exploring the spring and Domail Pool, trying the plough myself, experiencing an unexpected moment with the bulls, and finally travelling to Hattian Bala for medicines — this was a complete day of real Kashmiri village life.
I hope you enjoy watching this cultural vlog as much as I enjoyed filming it. ❤️
