A report by The Indian Express has highlighted reported differences within the three-member Election Commission of India. According to the report, Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi formally raised objections at least 14 times over 10 months concerning decisions and orders they said were issued without their knowledge or approval. The issues reportedly included voter registration and deletion, changes to Form 6 and the management of electoral-roll databases. The Election Commission has rejected the suggestion of an internal breakdown, with EC sources saying that decisions, including those related to SIR, were approved unanimously by all three commissioners.
