Junkers A50 Junior
The Junkers A50 Junior had its maiden flight in 1929. The single-engine, two-seater low-wing aircraft with an oval fuselage cross-section and duralumin corrugated sheet metal planking was equipped with an 80 hp engine and already had a take-off weight of around 600 kg – making it an ultralight aircraft from the very beginning.
The Junkers A50 Junior was able to set a number of FAI world records around the world and became famous, among other things, when Marga von Etzdorf became the first woman to fly her Junkers A50 Junior from Berlin to Tokyo in several stages in 1931.
The technology of today and the flair of the 1930s – the idea of reviving the historic Junkers A50 Junior as an ultralight aircraft with the best flight characteristics and the latest safety standards gives you the ultimate and safest flying experience.
An ultralight aircraft as an open two-seater, in which you and your companion sit one behind the other in tandem. Powered by a four-cylinder Rotax fuel-injected engine and equipped with maximum safety features such as Beringer brakes and a built-in Galaxy parachute rescue system, the Junkers A50 Junior is the best reason to take to the skies with a smile on your face.
The Junkers A50 Junior is an all-round individual aircraft – and not just in terms of its unique design. You can also choose from six different paint and leather colors to turn any Junkers A50 Junior into your own personal Junkers A50 Junior. There are no limits to your imagination.

The association is particularly known for the spectacular air shows it organizes, which attract aviation enthusiasts, professionals and large audiences.
Kauhava Airport plays a significant role in Finnish aviation history. Founded in 1929, the airport served as the home of the Finnish Air Force Air Force Academy for a long time, where numerous Finnish pilots were trained for decades. The Air Force Academy's operations in Kauhava ended in 2014, but its legacy still lives strong in the area. Kauhava Airport and its surroundings are an integral part of Finnish aviation history, and they provide a unique place for aviation events and exhibitions.
The roots of the Air Force Academy in Kauhava date back to the late 1920s, when the Finnish Air Force began to focus its training activities in the area. Kauhava was chosen as the training center due to its strategic location and suitable terrain conditions. Over the years, the Air Force Academy trained hundreds if not thousands of pilots who served in the Finnish Air Force in various parts of the country. Several different aircraft models were used in the training, some of which can still be seen in the Kauhava airport area.
