Double Tongue Modi Says India Is Mother of Democracy! | Bloomberg Forum Reality Check | Ayyanathan.k

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Delhi called India the mother of democracy while youth protests face heavy crackdowns. Modi’s Bloomberg economic forum speech on democracy, growth and open debate stands in sharp contrast to the youth struggle and state response in Delhi. India mother of democracy claim by Modi raises serious questions over free expression, digital power and real democratic space amid ongoing protests. At the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proudly described India as the “mother of democracy.” He pointed to the country’s linguistic diversity, tens of thousands of newspapers, over a thousand TV channels, and hundreds of millions of YouTube and Instagram users as proof that people openly debate issues and express diverse views. Yet the timing of this speech has drawn sharp attention. Just days earlier and continuing into the same period, young protesters, students and activists gathered in Delhi — including at Jantar Mantar — raising concerns over electoral processes, voter list revisions and the Election Commission. Reports of barricades, large-scale detentions, restrictions and strong police action have dominated the ground situation. Critics argue that the gap between the grand words spoken at an international economic forum and the treatment of citizens demanding accountability is hard to ignore. #modi #indiademocracy #MotherOfDemocracy #BloombergForum #BloombergNewEconomyForum #delhi #youthprotests #StateTerrorism #AyyanathanK #roosternews #indiapolitics #democracy #modispeech #jantarmantar MAA NATURALS FERTILITY WELLNESS CENTRE Head Office Chennai Contact: 7550005857/9043464054 Address: No116, 2nd Floor, Sri Devi Kuppam Main Road, Valasaravakkam, Chennai -600087.
