Hiking Rustler Gulch with My Dog | Crested Butte, Colorado

Yogi and I hiked into Rustler Gulch, one of Colorado’s most beautiful hidden valleys near Crested Butte. Surrounded by towering mountain peaks, flowing streams and seemingly endless fields of wildflowers, this quickly became one of our favorite hikes of the entire road trip. We began our adventure by camping at Gothic Campground before setting out early the following morning. From the lower parking area, the complete trail is roughly nine miles out and back. Yogi and I covered around seven miles round trip, letting him set the pace while we explored the valley.
