The Song Of Moses

Deuteronomy 32 contains one of the most important songs in the Bible—the Song of Moses. Moses is approaching the end of his life, Israel is preparing to enter the Promised Land, and Yahweh already knows that His people will eventually turn away from Him. The song therefore looks ahead to Israel’s rebellion, Yahweh’s judgment, Israel’s helplessness, and finally Yahweh’s intervention. Yet the song does not end with Israel abandoned beneath divine wrath. It ends with Yahweh acting on behalf of His people, defeating what opposes His purposes, and calling the nations to rejoice with His people. Read in light of the New Testament, this ancient song provides a remarkable backdrop for understanding Yeshua and the restoration of all things.
