Mending of a well-worn dress┆Silent Vlog

🩹I'm fixing the hole in my dress with a patch made from a matching piece of scrap fabric. For extra sturdiness, I made another identical patch to sandwich the hole from the inside. 🧵I stiffened the applique by dunking it in starch-water and ironing it. This gives the fabric structure for ease of handling and the crispness makes folding edges to the back easier. The resulting fabric feels almost like paper. The recommended technique is to spray starch water over the fabric.
