Highlander Hour: The Bubble | COMS246 Final Project

This news package was created as a final project for my COMS 246 Audio Production course during my sophomore year at Radford University. The piece highlights a notable location on campus, exploring its significance through an on-camera interview with someone connected to it. As a sophomore still building my skills in video journalism, I took on this project to practice the full production process: I developed the concept, filmed using a JVC camera, conducted the interview, and edited the final package myself. It was a hands-on chance to learn how to capture usable footage and audio in the field, ask good interview questions, and put together a clear narrative through video. Using Adobe Premiere Pro, I worked with multitrack editing to combine interview footage, natural sound, voiceover narration, and b-roll into a complete news segment. This project reflects where I'm at in my growth as a student video journalist and what I've learned so far about telling stories through video. Thank you for watching.
