2639 (9/27/26) - While You Have the Light

The crowd expected the Christ to remain forever, so Jesus’ words about being “lifted up” did not fit their expectations (v. 34). Instead of answering every part of their question, Jesus pressed them to act on the light already before them. We can spend so much time asking God to explain what we do not understand that we delay responding to what He has made clear.
