Only if you make yourself available

[verse] Only if you make yourself available can grace do for you what you could never do. If you open the window of grace, life will unfold in ways you never imagined possible. [chorus] You ask, “How do I do this?” It is not something you do — it is something you don’t do. You must leave a certain space within you. [instrumental interlude] [bridge] Leave a space where your thoughts and emotions do not enter — then grace will pour as a torrential force into your life. If you’re full of your own stuff, grace only floats around you. [final chorus] This is the tragedy of most human life — tremendous possibilities never allowed to happen. The spiritual process is to wear down your persona, until an empty presence appears within you, a doorway to grace.
