Durga Puja Special Episode 7 | Perfect Bengali Mishti Doi Recipe | Homemade Sweet Yogurt 🍮 Welcome to Episode 7 of my Durga Puja Special Series! ❤️ Today, I am sharing an easy recipe for authentic Bengali Mishti Doi. Learn how to make thick, creamy, delicious and perfectly set Mishti Doi at home, just like your favourite sweet shop! This traditional Bengali dessert is perfect for Durga Puja, festivals, special occasions, or whenever you crave something sweet. 🥣 Ingredients Milk – 500 ml Sugar – 200–250 g, according to your preferred sweetness Milk powder – approximately 50 g Cardamom – 1 Hung curd – 3–4 tablespoons 👩‍🍳 Method of Preparation 1. Caramelize the Sugar Take the sugar in a pan and caramelize it slowly over low to medium heat. Stir carefully and make sure the sugar does not burn. 2. Add the Milk Gradually add the milk to the caramelized sugar, a little at a time, and mix well. Once all the milk has been added, add one cardamom pod. 3. Add the Milk Powder Add the milk powder to the milk mixture and stir well until it dissolves completely without forming any lumps. Simmer over low to medium heat for about 5–10 minutes until the milk thickens slightly. 4. Cool the Milk Remove the mixture from the heat and allow it to cool until it becomes lukewarm. Make sure the milk is not too hot before adding the curd. 5. Mix in the Hung Curd Take 3–4 tablespoons of hung curd in a bowl and whisk it with a beater until smooth. Add a little lukewarm milk to the curd and mix well. Then pour this mixture into the remaining milk and stir gently until everything is combined. Avoid whisking too vigorously, as too many air bubbles are unnecessary. 6. Pour into an Earthen Pot Pour the mixture into a traditional earthen pot (matir bhar). You can also use a heatproof glass bowl. Cover the top tightly with cling film to prevent steam or water from entering the mixture. 7. Steam the Mishti Doi Prepare a steamer with water and carefully place the covered pot inside. Cover the pot with a clean towel if appropriate, and close the steamer lid. Steam over very low heat for approximately 30 minutes, ensuring the pot is stable and the water does not enter it. After steaming, keep the pot covered in a warm place to help the curd set properly. Maintain a safe, gentle warmth without overheating the mixture. 8. Refrigerate and Serve Once the Mishti Doi has set, refrigerate it for 5–6 hours or preferably longer for a firmer texture. Your delicious homemade Bengali Mishti Doi is now ready to serve! Enjoy this rich, creamy and perfectly set sweet yogurt with your family and friends during Durga Puja and other special occasions. ❤️ If you enjoyed this recipe, please Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe to my channel for more delicious Bengali recipes and festive special dishes! 🍮 Durga Puja Special Series – Episode 7 Recipe: Bengali Mishti Doi Speciality: Thick, creamy and sweet Perfect for: Durga Puja, festivals and special occasions _____________________________________________ 👉 For more videos : https://youtube.com/@satabdisha7195?s... 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dinewithsat... 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/19Aq6d... 💌 Business/Collaboration: [ satabdisaharoy7@gmail.com ] _____________________________________________ #MishtiDoi #BengaliMishtiDoi #DurgaPujaSpecial #Episode7 #MishtiDoiRecipe #BengaliSweets #HomemadeMishtiDoi #BengaliFood #SweetYogurt #IndianDesserts #DurgaPujaRecipes #EasyDessertRecipe #TraditionalBengaliRecipe #HomemadeSweets #মিষ্টিদই #trending #food #ytshorts #viral #ytviral #yt #bengali #easyrecipe #feedshorts #youtubeshorts
