Shopify Course Series #6: How to Create Shopify Menus | Header & Footer Navigation | Progressors Welcome to Lecture 6 of the Shopify Course Series by Progressors. In the previous lectures, we created our Shopify store, explored themes, added products, created collections, and learned how to organize products inside those collections. Now it's time to connect those collections with the actual navigation of our Shopify store. In this lecture, we will learn how to create and customize Shopify menus and use them to display our collections in the header and footer of the website. In the earlier lectures, we added products using reference products from Daraz and created proper collections for organizing those products. Now that our collections are ready, we need to make them accessible to visitors. To do this, we will work with the existing Main Menu and Footer Menu in Shopify. We will edit these menus, add links to our collections, organize the navigation items, and then display the updated menus in the header and footer of our Shopify store. This is an important step in Shopify store development because your products and collections may already exist, but customers need an easy way to navigate through your website and find those products. Step 1 — Open Shopify Navigation We access the existing menu settings in our Shopify store. Step 2 — Edit the Main Menu We modify the existing Main Menu and add our required collection links. Step 3 — Add Collection Links Our previously created collections are added as menu items so visitors can easily access them. Step 4 — Edit the Footer Menu We also update the existing Footer Menu and add the relevant navigation links. Step 5 — Display the Menus Finally, we make sure these menus are displayed in the appropriate areas of the Shopify storefront, including the header and footer.
