Mammoth Trail Fest 26K — Sunday, September 27, 2026 | Mammoth Lakes, California:11:32am [TRT: 3:22]

Footage from the Mammoth Trail Fest 26K, a high-altitude mountain trail race based in Mammoth Lakes, California. The course is approximately 16 miles / 26K with about 3,800–3,900 ft of climbing, taking runners from the Village through the Twin Lakes area, up the Dragon’s Back climb to the 11,053-ft summit of Mammoth Mountain, and then back down through the mountain trail system toward the Village finish. After descending from the summit, runners connect onto Mammoth Mountain Trail, Off the Top, and the relatively flat, rocky Gravy Train Trail for about 1.5 miles before reaching McCoy Aid Station at approximately mile 11. Most of this footage was recorded roughly ½ mile before McCoy Aid Station, along the Gravy Train approach, between approximately 11:00 AM and 1:15 PM. I was told the McCoy aid-station cutoff was approximately 1:30 PM, so these clips include runners moving through this section during the later portion of the race. Bib numbers are visible in many of the clips, so if you raced the 26K and passed through McCoy during that window, you may be able to spot yourself.
