This might have been the most gothic day of my Prague trip.
I started the morning with coffee in a lovely café before heading out into Prague to cross the iconic Charles Bridge and explore the incredible Prague Castle complex.
And then came St. Vitus Cathedral — easily one of the absolute highlights of my trip. Its towering architecture, stained glass, and shadows made it feel almost unreal.
I continued through the castle grounds, discovering the striking red basilica, a palace with a ceiling that looks like it's covered in stone vines, and the famous Golden Lane — although I barely had time to appreciate it because of the crowds.
Then the day became a race against the clock. I hurried to Kutná Hora to see the famous Sedlec Ossuary, the Bone Church, only to discover another beautiful cathedral waiting nearby. The Bone Church was very special.
And finally, back in Prague, I managed to catch the last 15 minutes of opening time at Olšany Cemetery. Not exactly a relaxing itinerary… but somehow a perfect ending to a day like this.
