Welcome:- Elaneeru Falls is a quiet, lesser-known seasonal waterfall located in Elaneeru Village near Kalasa in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka, about 11 km from Kalasa and 96 km from Chikmagalur. It is roughly 30 feet high, features crystal-clear spring water, and sits inside a private property area near the edge of the Kudremukh region. Location and Access Distance: 11 km from Kalasa town and 4 km off Samse town. Entry Fee: Around ₹50 as it is located on private land. Timings: Open during daylight hours, typically 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Route: Reached via a mud/dirt road from Elaneeru village that gets very muddy and rough during the monsoon. Visitors often park in the village and walk a short 3 to 4 km trek. Key Features The Name: "Elaneeru" means tender coconut in Kannada, named because the mountain water is exceptionally clear and pure, resembling fresh coconut water. Some locals also link the stream area to the early water flow feeding the Netravati River basin. Best Time to Visit: The monsoon and post-monsoon months (July to December) offer the fullest water flow and lush green surroundings.
