ProQuest is the final module in BuildQuest's planning platform, and it solves a problem every homeowner and professional faces: how do you connect with the right team before you waste time and money on misaligned expectations? By the time you reach ProQuest, you have already built your project profile, created your vision boards, and worked through your budget in CostCompass. ProQuest lets you share all of that work with architects, designers, and contractors in one organized project brief. WHAT PROQUEST DOES FOR HOMEOWNERS ProQuest gives you two ways to find professionals. First, deep search tools match you with architects, designers, and contractors based on your project criteria, location, and quality level. Second, you can invite professionals you already know. You save the ones you want to work with and send them your project brief. Your project brief is everything a professional would ask for in a first meeting. It includes your property information, family profile, design direction, vision boards for every room, timing, budget range from CostCompass, and a personal introduction letter. You control what you share. Budget range is optional, but sharing it eliminates the biggest source of wasted time. When you send invitations, professionals receive an email with a link to your brief. They can accept and review your project, or decline. You get notified either way. If they accept, they can message you, request a meeting, or respond with budget feedback using BuildQuest's budgeting tools. WHAT PROQUEST DOES FOR PROFESSIONALS ProQuest is not a lead service. Homeowners pay for BuildQuest, which means they are serious. Professionals receive project-specific invitations from homeowners who have already done the planning work. You are not bidding against five other contractors on a vague inquiry. When you receive an invitation, you review the project brief. You see the property, the family profile, the design preferences, the vision boards, the budget range, and the timing. If you are interested, you accept. If not, you decline and the homeowner knows not to follow up. You can respond with questions, suggest a meeting, or use the built-in budget tools to create your own budget and share it back. The budget builder pulls from the homeowner's project criteria and lets you adjust design fees, consultant fees, permit costs, contingencies, and construction costs. You can share a detailed budget or just a total dollar figure. The goal is alignment before formal engagement. A general contractor can spend 40 to 400 hours preparing a custom home estimate. ProQuest makes sure you are both on the same page before either party invests that kind of time. WHY THIS MATTERS Most project failures start at the connection point. Homeowners do not know what professionals need to know. Professionals waste time on inquiries that were never realistic. ProQuest solves both problems by requiring homeowners to clarify their project before they reach out. BuildQuest is in development and nearing completion. ProQuest is the module currently being built. ProjectProfile, VisionSpec, and CostCompass are already developed.
