MY RIGHT FOOT / BONHAM STYLE BASS DRUM DOUBLES WORKOUT

I often get requests for a foot cam /close up of the bass drum pedal at work so here is some practicing I was doing today. I have been enjoying using my Speed King lately, but this pedal is a different animal from the Camco chain drive that I normally use. I think it requires more control and initiative. I keep the tension a bit on the looser side, because I feel like I can control and feel the response better. I've been digging the wood beater but I also use the felt, I swap them out from time to time. I had gotten somewhat out of shape with the Speed King, and also from all the time off without playing gigs, so I've been trying to devote a little time here and there specifically to building up my technique and stamina with it by playing exercises like this. Mainly fast doubles, and extended singles. Hopefully with this vantage point you can see my technique and derive something of use from it. I figure a close up is worth a thousand words!
