Is Last Seen Worth Watching? Honest Review

Last Seen on Apple TV+ is a six episode mystery thriller that goes far beyond the usual missing person story. Patrick Brammall gives a career-best performance as a father who cannot let go, and the finale will stay with you long after the credits roll. This review breaks down why Last Seen works so well, what makes the ending so devastating, and why Apple TV+ keeps delivering character driven stories that Netflix mystery shows often miss. About the show: Last Seen is a six episode Australian thriller adapted from Ryan David Jahn's novel The Dispatcher. It premiered on Apple TV+ on September 9, 2026, with new episodes weekly through October 7. The series stars Patrick Brammall (Colin from Accounts) as Ian Ridley, a former police detective turned emergency dispatcher whose daughter Maggie vanished eleven years ago. When he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he believes is Maggie, he stops at nothing to find the truth. The cast includes Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Zahra Newman, Jessica Wren, Tobias Muhafidin, and introduces Chloe Jean Lourdes as Sarah/Maggie. Christian Schwochow directs, and Kris Mrksa adapts the novel for television.
