Welcome to F & S BSF Insect Farm Eldoret

Brief walk around around our daily operations in an insect farm. Turning Waste into Value: Building a Cleaner, More Sustainable Eldoret The videos provide an opportunity to share more about our operations, our productivity, the challenges we face, and most importantly, the role we are playing in supporting sustainable waste management and environmental conservation within our community. At our farm, we are committed to creating value from what would otherwise be waste. Through our Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farming operation, we collect organic market waste from markets around Eldoret and recycle it by feeding it to BSF larvae. This process gives us two valuable products: BSF larvae protein– which we incorporate into our poultry feeds as part of our efforts to develop sustainable alternative protein sources. BSF Frass– a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer produced from the rearing process, helping return valuable nutrients to the soil. By diverting organic market waste from disposal and transforming it into useful agricultural inputs, we are contributing to a more circular, environmentally friendly and resource-efficient agricultural system. We believe that meaningful environmental solutions are built through collaboration between farmers, businesses, communities and government. We are proud to be part of Eldoret's growing movement towards responsible waste management, sustainable agriculture and a greener future. From market waste to farm inputs — creating value, reducing waste, and growing sustainably. #BlackSoldierFly #BSFFarming #Eldoret #WasteToValue #CircularEconomy #SustainableAgriculture #OrganicFertilizer #BSFFrass #PoultryFeeds #WasteManagement #EnvironmentalConservation #GreenEldoret #SustainableFarming #Kenya
