The Flat Earth Deception | The DeBunked Files: Episode 89

Does the Bible teach that the Earth is flat? Is there scientific evidence for a flat Earth? And why are so many Christians—especially young people—being drawn into Flat Earth conspiracy theories? In this episode of The DeBunked Files, we welcome Dr. Robert Carter, a Ph.D., in Marine Biology, to examine Flat Earth claims, explore what Scripture actually teaches about the shape of our planet, and expose the problems with conspiracy-driven thinking. Dr. Carter brings his scientific background and biblical expertise to a fascinating discussion about the relationship between science, faith, and truth. In this episode, we explore: 🌎 Does the Bible really teach a flat Earth? 🔬 What scientific evidence proves the Earth is round? ✈️ How do airline flight paths and GPS navigation challenge Flat Earth models? 🌅 Can we independently test Flat Earth claims without relying on NASA? 📖 What did early Christian theologians believe about the shape of the Earth? 🤔 Why are conspiracy theories so appealing to Christians and young people? ⚠️ Can believing conspiracy theories actually damage someone’s Christian faith? ✝️ How should Christians distinguish between legitimate skepticism and outright deception? Dr. Carter also shares fascinating experiments involving airline flight distances and solar observations that demonstrate why Flat Earth models fail when tested against real-world evidence. But this conversation goes beyond science. What happens when the desire to possess secret knowledge becomes more important than the pursuit of truth? And what happens to our faith when we begin questioning everything except our own beliefs? At DeBunked, we believe Christians should never be afraid of scientific evidence or honest questions. God’s Word and God’s creation are not enemies.
