One dollar short of free delivery. Four-dollar fries. Does adding them actually save you money? We compare two clearly labeled illustrative orders. In one, adding fries makes dinner $2.40 more expensive. In the other, it saves $0.60. The difference is the delivery charge you remove, compared with everything you add to the bill. All prices, minimums, fees and tax figures shown are hypothetical, not a real checkout or a claim about any restaurant or app's actual charges. The model assumes a $14 burger, $4 fries, a $15 qualifying minimum, fixed $2 service fee and $3 tip, and an invented 10% tax on food only. Delivery starts at $2 in Case A and $5 in Case B, then falls to $0. Subscription cost is outside this comparison.
