Gemstone Waterfall 💎 A Fiona Inspired Journey of Color & Acrylic Pouring Technique!

Acrylic Pouring Fiona Art Inspired Multiple Techniques Split Cup Ring Pour Straight Pour Hello Friends! Welcome back to another Night Pouring episode! Today I was so inspired by my dear friend Fiona of Fiona Art and her video exploring technique and color, that I wanted to try some of the techniques again today, especially with the gorgeous color palette she chose. I absolutely love The Quinacridone Burnt Orange and lately I have been playing with Goldens Nickel Azo Gold more so I was intrigued by the idea of playing with different yellows with this palette. Note* this video was long so I have sped up some parts in the interest of time I show you the dried results from Tuesdays pour, Elemental Vortex and the test piece. They dried very well, and I love the colors in those pieces. The yellow is in that pour too LOL Colors Amsterdam Greenish Blue DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics 24K Gold Satin Enamels Pure White with some Amsterdam Titanium White Golden's Quinacridone Burnt Orange Nickel Azo Gold Indian Yellow Hue Pouring Medium: Liquitex Gloss Medium Paint + a bit of Water Floetrol There is NO Silicone in Any of My Paint. I use a Tracie Reed 6 0z Split cup to attempt a straight pour on a spinner.. you can find the cup here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/89582359... Fionas Video that Inspired me :    • (611) Straight pour with PEARL WHITE ~ Acr...   I am repouring on a 20 inch round Convexo canvas. You can find them at Blick Art Supply or at Jerrys Artarama. I fill a different split cup that HoA made for me and pour a ring pour. It feels like there is a lot of white on half the canvas. I tilt it out and am surprised that I really like the white with the colorful lines going thru it, but interestingly I dont like the Nickel Azo Gold where it blended with the Greenish Blue. At this point Ive had enough of split cups for today so I layer a regular 16 ounce plastic cup carefully down the side and decide to do a straight pour this time, since I was following Fiona's video. I immediately like parts of it, but realize there is too much paint on my canvas. The parts that I like are on opposite sides of the canvas, so in stretching one side out I may lose the other side in the process. So there is a lot of careful tilting, I have sped some of it up to make it easier to see the paint move (and in the interest of time). I finally get the composition the way I want it and Im done, I did manage to open up the "flames" but I ended up taking off quite a bit of paint.. in the end thats a good thing because this was repouring on this canvas and I would rather not leave a lot of extra paint on there to dry. Editing the video while helping my daughter with homework she suggested that the painting was a waterfall surrounded by gemstones.. so this piece is Gemstone Waterfall.
