Ingredient List Fresh Coconut: 2 (grated) Almonds (Badam): 1 cup (coarsely powdered or finely chopped) Ghee: 2 tsp Jaggery (Gud): 1 cup (grated/crushed) Saffron Milk: 1/4th cup (warm milk soaked with saffron strands) Desiccated Coconut: 1/2 cup (for coating) Cooking Method Roast the Almonds: Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan on medium-low heat. Add almonds and roast gently until aromatic. Let them cool, then coarsely grind or chop them. Sauté the Coconut: In the same pan, add 1 tsp ghee and freshly grated coconut. Sauté on low flame for 2–3 minutes to release the moisture and bring out its aroma (do not let it brown). Add Jaggery & Saffron Milk: Lower the flame and add the crushed jaggery along with the saffron milk to the coconut. Stir continuously until the jaggery melts completely and blends well. Mix & Cook: Add the roasted almonds into the mixture. Cook on low-medium flame, stirring continuously, until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and comes together into a soft, binding consistency. Shape into Laddus: Turn off the heat and transfer the mixture to a plate. Let it cool slightly until warm enough to touch. Grease your palms with a drop of ghee, take small portions, and shape them into smooth, round laddus. Coat & Serve: Roll each laddu gently in desiccated coconut for a clean, bakery-style finish. Allow them to cool and firm up completely before serving.
