It calls it Hachi-Roku — literally "eight-six." ▌ It was the last rear-wheel-drive Corolla, and Toyota came back to the idea decades later with the 86, GT86 and GR86. ▌ The rare ones barely exist: 400 Sprinter Trueno Black Limiteds in 1986, and just 20 GT APEX convertibles the year after. ▌ Rust is what actually kills them — rear arches, sills, chassis rails, strut towers. A solid shell matters more than the engine. ▌ Fame did the rest: most survivors have been drifted, crashed or re-shelled, so an original panda Trueno with real history now costs collector money.
