Every Saturday he takes a small bike out onto the streets, sets up, and preaches to whoever stops to listen, then writes down their names and points them to church. It is not glamorous, but he insists it is the only way a church actually grows: if you cannot witness door to door, man to man, you simply cannot start a church. Then he turns a biology lesson into a warning. Church members are the "high concentration," the church itself is "low" - growth is supposed to flow in, like diffusion. But too often it runs backward, like osmosis, and the church quietly empties out instead. Follow up, he says, means chasing after everyone who once raised a hand for Christ.
