安宅住吉神社は、石川県小松市に鎮座する神社。 日本海に面する境内に安宅の関跡があり、難関突破の神として知られています。 安宅住吉神社は、天応二年（782年）に創建され、正保四年（1647年）に現在地に遷座しました。 約12,000坪を有する境内は、全国白砂青松百選の一つに数えられる松林に囲まれています。 文治3年（1187年）、兄の源頼朝に追われる義経が奥州平泉へ落ちのびる途中、安宅の関にさしかかります。 その時、関守の富樫泰家に見咎められ、弁慶は白紙の勧進帳を読み上げて義経をかばいます。 弁慶は疑いを受けた義経を関守の前で、貴様が悪いと打ちすえたのでした。 その忠義の心に胸を打った富樫氏は義経と知りながらも一行の関の通過を許してしまいます。 勧進帳とは、寺院建立などの資金集めにその趣意をしたためたものをいいます。 15世紀後半に能「安宅」が創作され、さらに歌舞伎「勧進帳」が天宝11年（1840年）に初演されました。 市川團十郎が演ずる「勧進帳」は大ブームとなります。 以来、歌舞伎十八番の一つとして今日まで受け継がれ、安宅の関の名を全国に広めたのでした。 安宅の地は、古くより陸と海路の要所として栄えた場所であります。 今日も「安宅の住吉さん」と親しまれ、難関突破の神として広く崇敬を集め続けています。 安宅の関址／史跡／石川県小松市 ____________________________________________________ Ataka Sumiyoshi Shrine is located in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. On the precincts facing the Sea of Japan, there is the ruins of Ataka no Seki, and it is known as the god of overcoming obstacles. Ataka Sumiyoshi Shrine was built in 782 and moved to its present location in 1647. The precincts of about 4ha are surrounded by a pine forest that is counted as one of the top 100 white sand and green pine trees in Japan. In 1187, Yoshitsune, who was being chased by his older brother Minamoto no Yoritomo, came to Ataka no Seki on the way to escape to Oshu Hiraizumi. When he is spotted by Togashi Yasuie, the barrier guard, Benkei reads out a blank copy of the Kanjincho to protect Yoshitsune. Benkei hit Yoshitsune, who was suspected, in front of the barrier guard, blaming him for his fault. The Togashi clan, moved by Yoshitsune's loyalty, allowed the party to pass through the barrier, even though they knew it was Yoshitsune. A kanjincho is an account of the purpose of collecting funds for the construction of a temple. In the late 15th century, the Noh play "Ataka" was created, and the Kabuki play "Kanjincho" was first performed in 1840. "Kanjincho" played by Danjuro Ichikawa became a big hit. Since then, it has been handed down to the present day as one of Kabuki Juhachiban, spreading the name of Ataka no Seki throughout the country. The Ataka area has long flourished as a strategic point on land and sea routes. Today, the shrine is still widely revered as "Sumiyoshi-san of Ataka," the god of success in overcoming obstacles.
