Where does a puddle go when it dries up? 💧 What are clouds made of? A water cycle lesson for kids aged 8 to 11. Lots of people think the ground drinks it, or it just disappears. In this longer lesson, we race a sunny puddle against a shady one, put on vapour glasses to see the invisible water vapour, send it up into the cold air to make a cloud, look inside the cloud with a magnifying glass, make it rain, follow the water all the way round, dry the puddles on a windy afternoon, and find out where the drops on an icy glass come from. Pause and guess at each question, then try the quiz at the end! ▶ Try it yourself, free: https://nowiseewhy.com/water-cycle?fr... An interactive 3D lesson for ages 5–11, with a Grown-ups level too. No accounts, and no ads in the lessons. The Sun’s warmth turns water into vapour (evaporation), and cold air turns it back into drops (condensation): the same water goes round and round, up into the air, into clouds, and back down as rain. Sunshine, warmth and wind all help puddles dry faster. Grown-ups: watch puddles away from roads, and never look straight at the Sun. Got a "why" question?
