Fukuyama developed as a castle town after Fukuyama Castle was built in the early Edo period. Today, the station area serves as one of the main gateways to the city, while this route gradually moves away from the busy station area into the everyday streets of Fukuyama. The outward and return journeys offer two views of the same part of the city. Enjoy the streets between Fukuyama Station and Nogamicho at walking pace, including the changing atmosphere as the route moves between the station area and the surrounding neighborhoods.
