izwe's marriage to his seemingly committed Christian wife is facing serious difficulties due to infertility. While his wife relies on prayers and holy water, Lizwe is desperate to have a child in his home, which leads him to bring his ex-daughter (Nomonde) and her mother to their home. This causes great rifts and disruption of the peace in the home. Looking to save his marriage and running out of options, his wife agrees to take an unexpected route: going to the moon/folk prophet (Sekhulu) to seek help in conceiving. When she arrives at the moon's home, she finds herself faced with difficult rules, strange customs, and a dark secret when the moon wants to do things that violate her conscience and faith under the promise of impregnating her. After suffering and receiving the news that she is not pregnant, the painful and shocking truth about the origins of her pregnancy and the abuse that took place behind closed doors emerges. Eventually, Sekhulu is arrested for his criminal actions, and Lizwe and his wife are forced to face the truth, forgive each other, and prioritize caring for and raising the child with love and dignity over everything that has happened.
