The Memphis Grizzlies have wrapped up four days of training camp in Nashville, and we're starting to get a much clearer picture of what Tuomas Iisalo's rotation could look like. Ty Jerome may have emerged as the favorite to start at point guard, but the bigger story may be WHY. His playmaking could allow Memphis to use bigger wings like Cedric Coward and Jaylen Wells, while Scotty Pippen Jr.'s versatility gives Iisalo another guard he can plug into multiple lineup combinations. We also got one of the most encouraging Zach Edey updates yet. Edey participated throughout camp, got full-speed 5-on-5 work, and Iisalo says he's moving better than he did in either of his first two NBA seasons. He's still working toward game condition, but making it through Nashville was an important step toward opening night. In this video: Ty Jerome's push for the starting PG job Why Scotty Pippen Jr. may be more valuable as a versatile lineup piece Jaylen Wells and Cedric Coward together GG Jackson and Jerami Grant as a potential second-unit combination Zach Edey's health and preseason outlook What Tuomas Iisalo's lineup experiments tell us about the new Grizzlies Next up: open practice at FedExForum, followed by the preseason opener against Atlanta. And after the first preseason game, I Talk Hoops After Dark debuts live to break down what we actually saw on the court. Who should start at point guard: Ty Jerome or Scotty Pippen Jr.? And how encouraged are you by Zach Edey's progress? Let me know in the comments. #MemphisGrizzlies #Grizzlies #NBA
