The story takes place in the land of Bomberland, whose inhabitants have a unique passion for explosive events. The player takes on the role of the main character, who must fight his way through successive arenas filled with enemies protecting his ultimate target: Lord Bomber. The single-player campaign consists of 36 levels, divided into six distinct areas. Brick Factory, The Swamps, The Rockies, Snowy Foothills, Laboratory, and Castle of Lord B. Each level requires the elimination of all enemies on it, which unlocks the EXIT portal—hidden beneath destructible blocks—leading to the next arena. Along the way, the hero can collect various power-ups to make combat easier, and each stage ends with a boss battle, ultimately leading to a showdown with Lord Bomber himself. The goal of the game is to defeat all enemies, progress through the 36 arenas, and reach Lord Bomber’s chamber to face him in the final battle. Bomberland also offers an extensive deathmatch multiplayer mode for 2–5 players, so in addition to the single-player campaign, the game can serve as a fast-paced, explosive multiplayer competition.
