In this class, Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi explores three suttas from the Anguttara Nikaya, Book of Eights: nos. 23-25. Two explain the wondrous qualities of the householder Hatthaka of Alavi, among them "the four means of embracing others." The third deals with the practice of a lay disciple: how one is a Buddhist, how one observes sila, and how one practices for one's own good and the good of others.
