Lori Lieberman - Killing Me Softly with His Song

And so, Here is the song that EVERYBODY who enjoys this type of music should recognize. This is the song that Lori Lieberman is well known for [even though Roberta Flack made it a worldwide hit]. This is the song that was ORIGINALLY recorded by Lori herself. This is the song that begins the 1st side of her self-titled debut album. This is also the MOST published song out of all of Lori's song and I'm so happy to share it with you as well. This is the FIRST and ORIGINAL version of "Killing Me Softly with His Song" as performed by Lori Lieberman. THESE ARE THE LYRICS [AS WE SHOULD KNOW]: I heard he sang a good song I heard he had a style And so I came to see him To listen for a while And there he was this young boy A stranger to my eyes Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly with his song I felt all flushed with fever Embarrassed by the crowd I felt he found my letters And read each one out loud I prayed that he would finish But he just kept right on Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly with his song He sang as if he knew me In all my dark despair And then he looked right through me As if I wasn't there But he was there this stranger Singing clear and strong Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly with his song WARNING: The Lori Lieberman Album has been produced by Capitol Records.
