My first-time Supernatural reaction continues with Season 1, Episode 3: “Dead in the Water,” and I went into this expecting a creepy episode about something lurking in the water. What I wasn't expecting was for this episode to make me appreciate Dean Winchester even more. Between the mystery surrounding Lake Manitoc, some genuinely unsettling water horror, and Dean's connection with Lucas, this episode gave me a completely different look at his character. He can keep pretending he's the emotionally unavailable one all he wants. I'm starting to see through you, sir. 😂 Three episodes into Supernatural, I'm also realizing that the monster-of-the-week stories aren't the only thing getting me invested. It's the smaller character moments between Sam, Dean, and the people they're trying to help that are really starting to pull me in. And unfortunately...
