As Kenya continues to strengthen its competency-based education system, stakeholders say sustained investment in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)learning infrastructure, teacher training and practical learning opportunities will be critical in turning the country's ambition of producing a generation of innovators into reality. The stakeholders have raised concerns over persistent gaps in infrastructure and teacher capacity, warning that these continue to limit the uptake of STEM programs in schools. The call was made during the climax of a 5-day STEM Boot camp organized by the Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa.
