The Way, The Truth, The Life

The Way, The Truth, The Life Intro: The Way, The Truth, The Life Verse 1: Thomas asked the Master on the night before He died, “Lord, we don’t know where You’re going, how can we know the way?” he cried, And He didn’t hand him a map, He just answered Thomas’ plea, Jesus said, “I am the Way, and no one comes to the Father but through Me.” Now the world has a thousand roads, and they say they all lead home, But the gate is strait, the way is narrow, and it’s found in Christ alone........... Chorus: He’s the Way, the Truth, the Life, (Only Through Jesus Christ) There’s no other name, There’s no other door, There’s no other sacrifice. Only Jesus, (Only Jesus) He’s the Way, the Truth, the Life. He’s the Way, the Truth, the Life......... Verse 2: Pilate stood before Jesus, with the Lord's life in his hand, And asked, “What is truth?” while Truth was right in front of the man, And this world is still asking, with a shrug and with a sneer, “Your truth is yours, and mine is mine, so there’s no answer here.” But the Word became flesh and dwelt among us full of grace, And the glory of the Father shone in the man Christ Jesus' face, And every lie the devil told has been shattered by His word, For the Truth that sets the captive free is Jesus Christ the Lord. Chorus: He’s the Way, the Truth, the Life, (Only Through Jesus Christ) There’s no other name, There’s no other door, There’s no other sacrifice. Only Jesus, (Only Jesus) He’s the Way, the Truth, the Life. He’s the Way, the Truth, the Life.......... Verse 3: I was dead in my trespasses, I was buried in my sin, Couldn’t lift a hand to save myself or bring new life within, Like Lazarus in the graveyard, cold and wrapped and sealed by stone, I had no life, I had no hope, I had no power of my own. But my chains fell off, my heart beat strong, and I came walking out in light, For the One who conquered death for me is the Way, the Truth, the Life. Final Chorus: He’s the Way, the Truth, the Life, (Only Through Jesus Christ) There’s no other name, There’s no other door, There’s no other sacrifice.
