Peace in the fight

Peace in the Fight After the long fog, I found my feet in a downtown apartment above a dive bar, and the man behind the bar became my best friend. Not romance. Just love, the kind you give someone who was meant to be in your life. This is the story of the years he was sick: the ER, the helicopter I beat by fifteen minutes, and a system that kept reading him like a number. I shine when I have someone to fight for, and he gave me that instead of the fight I’d been having with myself in my own head. It ends in the calm, because we had one. Orchestral Norse folk-rock with acoustic guitar, frame drum, kantele, cello and viola. Part of an ongoing autobiographical series, picking up after the unspoken years. Written by me, built with Suno.
