What is this sound early in the morning? Am I imagining things? It sounds like someone is dragging a heavy object from one place to another. But who woke up so early in the house?" Narration: The sound of furniture scraping comes through (Ghiss-ghiss-ghiss). Sharda (scared, pulling her quilt tight): "Good Lord! Now the sound has gotten even louder! It’s only five in the morning right now. At this hour, the whole house is fast asleep. Then where is this sound coming from? Has some thief broken into the house? But if it’s a thief, how will I fight him alone? Oh God, protect me!" Pranali (22, in her room, scared): "Oh God! Could this be that same ghost that drags furniture across the terrace at 3:00 AM? I thought it only wandered around the terrace, but what if it has entered inside the house today? No, no! I love my life way too much!" Sharda (in a trembling voice): "Hey, who is sweeping and moving things around so early in the morning? Could something bad have happened? Hemant ji, wake up! Someone has entered the house. Will you wake up now, or do I have to go fight the thief myself?" Hemant (55, half-asleep): "You must have seen a dream. There are no thieves or anything. Go back to sleep and let me sleep too." Sharda (50, panicked): "I didn't see any dream! Don't you care about your own house? Wake up!" (Giving up) "He’s not going to get up. I’ll have to gather some courage myself..." (Getting out of bed, scared) "Let me pick up something in my hand; who knows, it might actually be a thief." Narration: Sharda was just stepping out of her room when she saw a shadowy figure drenched in sweat in the dark. Suddenly, a light turned on and then went right back off. Right after that, a scream echoes, and along with the family members, the neighbors also wake up. Sharda (50, screaming): "Aah-aah-aah!" Pranali (22, screaming in her room): "Aah-aah-aah!" Hemant (55, waking up, scared): "What happened? What’s going on?" Poorab (30, waking up, panicked): "What happened? What is the matter? Ritika? Ritika is not here? Where is she?" Arjun (26, stepping out of his room): "Mom, what’s the matter? Is everything okay? I’m coming!" Madhuri (50, panicked, coming from outside): "Oh, oh Sharda sister! Is everything alright?" Meenal (50, panicked): "Has some thief broken in?" Narration: Hearing Sharda's scream, the neighborhood women also gathered, and all the family members came out into the hall. Sharda and Pranali were terribly scared. Everyone stood frozen in one spot in the hall with a fixed stare. Friends, who on earth had arrived at five in the morning to terrify everyone in the house? Was it a ghostly shadow, or a thief? To find out, let's go back in time. Main Story Start ⤵️ Ritika (24, distressed): "Oh no, I had planned so many things, but what is happening? Now guests have arrived." Sharda (50, happily): "Come, come Gomati and Vimala! Finally, you found some time to visit? Just think and tell me how many years later you've come here?" Gomati (50, smiling): "Oh yes, Sharda, we get so caught up in our own households that we hardly ever find the time to visit." Vimala (50, smiling): "I literally dragged her along today, saying we must go to Sharda's place today. Otherwise, Diwali is in two weeks, and we won't be able to come then because we have to visit our sons' in-laws. So we just came today to meet you." Sharda (50, happily): "No, no, you did very well by coming. Come inside and sit down." (Calling out) "Ritika! Oh, bahu, come here. My friends have come, go make some tea for them." Ritika (24, smiling): " जी माँ जी (Yes, Mom), coming right away! Hello, Gomati aunty, Vimala aunty! Please sit, I'll go make the tea." (Entering the kitchen, looking dejected) "Ah... looks like I won't be able to do my own work today either. Oh well, let me prepare the tea and snacks first." Narration: Ritika put the tea on the gas stove to boil. Within a few moments, the tea was ready, after which— Ritika (searching for cups): "Where did I keep the new guest tea set? It must be down below..." (Searching) "Found it!" (In surprise) "Oh my god! There’s so much dust and spiderwebs on the box! I can't believe this is the condition of the tea cup shelf.
