Determined to find a place right next to the office, I reached out to HR before relocating to connect me with someone from the team for broker leads and neighborhood advice. HR shared a contact number. Because she was the one who had emailed me my interview links, I casually assumed she was the front desk receptionist or an admin assistant. She was super sweet, gave me great broker contacts, and helped me find a place. Later, when HR called to check in, I happily said: "Yes! I spoke to your receptionist, she was so helpful!" Fast forward to my first week at the studio: I finally find out that the person I labeled as the "receptionist" is actually a Senior Architect and Team Lead sitting right beside me. Even worse?
