No One Believed These Rex Allen Stories! Until They Watched This!

No One Believed These Rex Allen Stories! Until They Watched This! Rex Allen was the last singing cowboy Hollywood ever made — and most people never even knew his name. Born cross-eyed on a dirt-floor homestead in Arizona, he couldn't see past a few feet until a small-town collection plate paid for the surgery that changed his life. He lost two brothers and his mother before he turned 13. A $7 mail-order guitar became his only way out. He rode bulls until one broke him. He sang on 50,000-watt radio until Hollywood came calling. Republic Pictures signed him and he made 19 westerns in four years — then television killed the entire genre underneath him. What came next was bigger than stardom: Rex Allen became the most famous voice in America that nobody could put a face to. Charlotte's Web. Disney's Carousel of Progress. Purina Dog Chow. Millions heard him and never knew his name. Then, 14 days before his 79th birthday, a routine morning in his own driveway ended in tragedy. This is the full story of Rex Allen — the Arizona Cowboy — from Mud Springs Canyon to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the bronze heart he asked to be sealed inside his own statue forever.
