Fall Asleep To Everything We Know About Bob's Burgers Season 17

Bob's Burgers season 17 is set to premiere on Fox in early 2027 as a midseason show, and this calm, long-form video covers everything known so far about the new season. For the first time in fourteen years, Fox's fall schedule does not include Bob's Burgers. This video goes through six clues one at a time: the four-season renewal, the move to midseason, the 300th episode, the San Diego Comic-Con 2026 panel, the planned premiere about Teddy and Mort, and the season's final details. It explains how contracts, streaming deals, and scheduling choices shaped season 17. It also separates what came from official announcements and press coverage from what came from fan convention recaps. What's covered in this video: On April 2, 2025, Fox renewed Bob's Burgers for seasons 16 through 19 with 15 episodes per season, in one deal that also covered The Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad, which returned to Fox after eleven years on TBS. The renewal between Fox and Disney Television Studios matches the length of a Fox and Hulu streaming extension worth about 1.5 billion dollars, and it allows extra streaming-exclusive episodes for Disney Plus and Hulu. Season 17 was left off Fox's fall 2026 lineup and held for midseason along with Family Guy and American Dad, while Animal Control took its Animation Domination slot, making this the first midseason start since season 2 opened with "The Belchies" in 2012. The 300th episode, "Grand Pre-Pre-Pre-Opening," aired September 28, 2025, and used flashbacks to show Bob and Linda first opening the restaurant. Loren Bouchard explains why the writers avoid repeating themselves and skip fantasy plots like a lottery win, and the video reviews the show's Emmy wins for "Mazel-Tina," "Bob Actually," and "They Slug Horses, Don't They?" The July 25, 2026 panel in Ballroom 20 announced the holiday short "On the Fort Day of Christmas" for Hulu and Disney Plus and screened four unreleased animatics, as reported by The Beat, Screen Rant, and a fan recap. The planned season 17 premiere follows Teddy as he lives an alternate, hallucinated life after Mort gives him too many pain pills. The final section covers puppets, gym clothes, and Jimmy Junior's appearance on screen.
