Remain In Me | Pastor Bobby Taylor | Mountain Springs Church // SERVICE

Are you watching other people follow Jesus, or are you following Him yourself? In the first week of our Be the Church series, Bobby shares why Jesus never invited us simply to attend, and why becoming the church begins with remaining connected to Him before we ever worry about what we will do for Him. From John 15 and Ephesians 2, we walk through four movements of a life built in the presence of God: We Encounter God: Drawing near to God, and the difference between seeking His hand (what He can do for us) and seeking His face (God Himself). We Remain in Him: There is a difference between having a moment in God's presence and building a life in it, with His Word at home in us and worship shaping our hearts. We Become Like Him: What we continually behold begins to shape who we become, as God forms us into the likeness of Jesus. We Will Bear Fruit: Good works are not the root of our relationship with Jesus, they are the fruit of it. If you have ever wondered what it means to abide in Christ, how to build a consistent life with God, or how to move from attending church to truly being the church, this message is for you.
