Fushimi Inari Taisha was one of those places I had seen countless times in photos, but being there in person felt completely different. Walking through the endless rows of red torii gates, surrounded by the quiet forest of Mount Inari, was an experience I’ll remember for a long time. Every turn seemed to reveal another beautiful view, another small shrine, or another peaceful corner away from the busy streets of Kyoto. I came here expecting to see one of Kyoto’s most famous landmarks, but what stayed with me was the atmosphere — the sound of footsteps, the sunlight between the trees, the vivid red gates, and the feeling of slowly making my way deeper into the mountain.
