Does Anyone Truly Know Me? | Psalm 139 Morning Prayer (Day 4 of 7)

Welcome to day four of 7 Mornings in the Psalms. We are halfway through the week. Maybe you carry a quiet fear this morning: that no one really knows you, or that if someone saw everything, they would walk away. Psalm 139 answers that fear. "O LORD, you have searched me and known me!" God knows when you sit down and when you rise up, and every word before it is on your tongue. He hems you in, behind and before. There is nowhere too far, not even "the wings of the morning", and no darkness that is dark to Him. You were knitted together, fearfully and wonderfully made. And every morning you can say with David, "I awake, and I am still with you." You are fully known, and still fully loved. Tomorrow morning: Psalm 27, "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?"
